1) WIN for the Community: When the Carmichael Chamber of Commerce and the Carmichael and Mission Oaks Recreation and Park Districts all agreed to post their events on ONE Community Calendar, Carmichael now has a on-line resources to find local community events, fund-raisers, recreation and art activities, and more. What's more, it provided a place for anyone to post events that might be of interest to the community. It's a virtual bulletin board for Carmichael.
2) WIN for local Businesses: Businesses are welcome to submit special offers, announcements or ads on the website. We provide options that start at less than $10 per month to make it affordable to all businesses. Their support makes the Community Calendar possible and YOUR support to these businesses is greatly appreciated. By shopping local, you are paying it forward to WIN #1! Businesses also support the website by providing prizes to the monthly raffle which just adds to the FUN!
3) Win for BeMoneySmartUSA: BMSUSA is a non-profit that is teaching financial literacy and entrepreneurism to kids. This gives these kids a great jump start into the "real" world. In fact, they've already "jumped" by hosting the great new Farmer's Market at Carmichael Park were you will see them working in sales, customer service and marketing. They provide a TREMENDOUS asset to the community and help get the word out about BobsPocket.com. In exchange, a portion of every sale benefits their program.
This collaborative effort is being launched in July 2011. So expect new and exciting announcements in the coming months.
