Did you know the first chamber of commerce started in the United States eight years before the Revolutionary War? Today, nearly every city and suburb across the nation has one.
The reason? Because of three words: representation, resources, and referrals. A chamber does many other things, but the "big 3" remain the most important.
The Carmichael Chamber of Commerce (CCC) was started in 1948 and remains a constant beacon in the community today. The CCC is the voice and ears of the community, responsive to its ever changing needs and concerns.
When members of the community have a problem and don't know what to do, they call their local chamber, and the Carmichael Chamber receives many of those such calls.
How many? In a recent survey, depending upon the month, it was shown that the CCC receives 150-200 contacts each month, either by phone, mail or in person.
It takes resources and personnel to ensure that the quality of life continues, and you can assist the chamber/community by remaining a current business or residential member, or becoming one yourself.
