SUMMER IN THE CITY is a new offering of casual summer events delivered to respond to the never-ending appeal of "we want more!" This is an inaugural offering of seven new "nights out" including a concert series, an outdoor movie series and blow-out carnival. Paired with existing special events, the SUMMER IN THE CITY will round out a great summer with something for everyone.
The SUMMER IN THE CITY concerts will be held at Village Green Park, with movies screened at Stone Creek Park. The Cordova Recreation and Park District is a major collaborator. Admission to all events is free of charge.
These are new events for which historical attendance data is not yet available. However, we anticipate that concerts will attract a minimum of 1,000 and movies will attract 750 at the outset, with both growing in size as the series catches on.
The SUMMER IN THE CITY series will be publicized utilizing local and social media, event poster and fliers, website and email campaigns, and Rancho Cordova City Views magazine.
SUMMER IN THE CITY event sponsorships are available at special pricing to Magic Maker program participants and include: logo identification on all pre-event publicity, event signage, website exposure and any volunteer gear. Other sponsorships are also available.
