Rancho Cordova 4th of July Parade

July 3 & 4, 2011 - Hagan Park, Rancho Cordova

Rancho Cordova 4th of July Parade

Lather on some sunscreen. Dust off the lawn chair and head over to Coloma Road. It's time for the Rancho Cordova Fourth of July Parade, sponsored by the Rancho Cordova Kiwanis Club. Rancho Cordova's Parade is famous for its hometown flavor. So don't be surprised if you see your next door neighbor decked out in a wacky Uncle Sam get-up for the trip down Coloma.

Parade Route & Logistics

Beginning on Coloma Road at McGregor Drive, the parade proceeds west to Chase Drive, left on Rinda Drive to Dawes Street into Cordova Gardens Elementary School parking lot. Parents should plan to pick up their children at Cordova Gardens Elementary School following the parade. The Parade will NOT enter Hagan Park.
Total distance is about 1.5 miles. Bring water!

While the parade begins at McGregor, parade entries join the procession at both the Cordova Neighborhood Church and the Cordova Church of Christ. Therefore, if you want to see it all, the best seats will be between Cordova Church of Christ and Hagan Park.

A judge's reviewing stand will be set up near Casa Coloma Convalescent Home. There, parade-watchers will be able to catch the quick presentations some participants provide.

Thank a Kiwanian!

The Rancho Cordova Kiwanis Club heads up the parade, but it takes more than just one Kiwanian to make this extravagant Rancho Cordova tradition roll. You will be able to thank the small army of Kiwanians, all wearing their blue shirts, who will be scurrying up and down the parade route, for all the hard work it takes to launch this rolling party.
