The Rancho Cordova Fourth of July celebration is a mighty collaboration of Rancho Cordova's best volunteers. When we say it takes a village to put on our celebration, we mean it.

Rancho Cordova Moose Lodge #2357

The Rancho Cordova Fourth of July celebration requires hundreds of volunteers to do everything from providing security and setting up the event, to offering activities to the community. One group of volunteers does nothing but cares for other volunteers! At the end of the event, one or more outstanding individuals is named the All American Fourth of July Volunteer, an honor enjoyed for an entire year. Lifelong friendships form among Fourth of July volunteers and the experience, while exhausting, is fun and satisfying. If volunteering is of interest to you, complete the Volunteer Interest Form.

As winner of the 2009 4th of July Volunteer of the Year, I would like to say this is a very prestigious award. Only a handful of people have ever won this award. There are no written qualifications for this award. A person can be nominated by any current volunteer. Any person who has shown extraordinary effort during the 4th of July Celebration, can be considered eligible. Note: It would not hurt your chances, by showing up early July 5th, to help clean up !
