They understand the importance of your family photographs and historical images, and make sure to handle them with the utmost care. Their staff boasts over 30 years of experience working with special projects, including everything from duplicating old photographs to printing archival photograph murals for exhibits.
Cox can make your old, faded, and damaged photographs look good as new through digital photographic retouching. Originals are copied and restored without any alteration. Pyro film developing, made famous by Ansel Adams and Edward Weston, is readily available in their lab. Their custom developing service fine-tunes your developing time so your results will be the same every time. They keep records of your results and help you make consistent, quality negatives. All printing is enlarged by hand through traditional methods with both fiber-based and resin-coated papers.
Photographs for museum or special collections are their specialty. They can create duplicate film negatives from glass negatives, nitrate, or acetate films, as well as perform digital services like scanning, printing, and archiving. They work with several of Northern California's museums and universities on a regular basis, duplicating their collections for archival purposes.
