Ken Cooley

Assemblyman Ken Cooley was elected in November of 2012 to represent California's 8th Assembly District. The district is comprised of the cities of Rancho Cordova and Citrus Heights, as well as the communities of Arden-Arcade, Carmichael, Clay, Foothill Farms, Gold River, Herald, La Riviera, Mather, McClellan Park, North Highlands, Rancho Murieta, Rosemont, Sloughhouse, Vineyard, and Wilton.

Ken is a former Rancho Cordova's City Council Member. He was first elected to City Council in 2002, and was re-elected in 2004 and 2008. He also served as mayor in 2005 and again in 2010 when the city was recognized as an All-America City.

Assemblyman Cooley and his wife of 36 years, Sydney, have been residents of Rancho Cordova since 1977. Their two sons are married and live with their families in Rancho Cordova.
