Active 20-30 Club of Greater Folsom #77

Active 20-30 Club is a service organization of young professionals between the ages of 20 and 39 who are interested in making a difference in the community.

Our group believes that one never stands so tall as when one kneels to help a child, and their service focuses on helping underprivileged children in the community.

    HISTORY

The Active 20-30 International organization began in 1922 when young men in two widely separated communities of the United States saw the need for a service club for young men. They found that the established service clubs were dominated and run by older men. This realization led those groups of ambitious young men to organize a club of their own that gave young men a chance to engage actively in service to their communities. They believed that young ideas, backed by enthusiasm and the energy of youth, could share in civic responsibilities on an equal basis with clubs composed of older men. The co-ed Active 20-30 Club of Greater Folsom was chartered in February of 2008, covering the areas of Rancho Cordova, Folsom and El Dorado Hills.

    ACTIVE 20-30 CLUB TODAY

Active 20-30 International currently has chapters throughout the Unites States and Canada. The Active 20-30 Club of Greater Folsom is constantly active in the community, volunteering at various events to serve underprivileged youth. They gather for a social meeting on the second Thursday of every month at various locations, and a business meeting on the fourth Thursday of every month at the Rancho Cordova City Hall, both at 7:30 p.m. Their biggest fundraising event is Spikes for Bikes, which is a charity volleyball tournament that raises money to buy bicycles for needy children. For a schedule of upcoming events and information on how to attend or help out, please fill out the form on the left.
