Folsom Cordova Community Partnership (FCCP)

Folsom Cordova Community Partnership (FCCP)

The Folsom Cordova Community Partnership is a 501(c)3 community-based non-profit.

We work with the community to:
  • build strong families
  • meet the needs of struggling parents, to increase self sufficiency
  • promote youth development through positive peer and adult relationships

We bring together resources and programming in a community resource center model to create a “one-stop shop,” which encourages and supports families as they identify their own needs and reach their own goals to fight cycles of child abuse, incarceration, and poverty. We recognize that each family has strengths and encourage the family to build on these to solve their own challenges.

History

Founded in 1992 as the Folsom Cordova Schools Foundation, The Partnership has a 18-year history providing quality services to families with children 0-5. In 2005, with the funding of the Roots and Horizons Mentoring Children of Prisoners program, The Partnership expanded to include services for youth 8-17 into its programming. In 2008, The Partnership developed Intervention Services, to provide resource and referral, short-term case management, and emergency supplies to families in crisis. The Partnership strives to meet changing community needs through high quality assessment and program development.

Our Community

The Partnership builds community in both Rancho Cordova and Folsom by working with individuals, service providers, the business sector, and local government to build strong families, increase parent self-sufficiency, and promote youth development. The Partnership is committed to addressing the distinct needs of families and youth in these unique communities who are knitted together under a local school board and as neighbors on the Highway 50 corridor.

Our Impact

We collaborate with many devoted community partners to provide safe, fun spaces and services for the children and families of our community. Through the Birth & Beyond Community Response Home Visitation Program we serve over 150 families every year. The SafetyNet Services Program serves over 1,200 families every year by providing basic needs such as food, housing, utilities, formula and diapers. Through the Partnership Resource Center over 250 parents improve their parenting abilities by attending workshop series throughout the year.

Every year we match 40 caring adult mentors with 40 youth aged 6 - 17 living in Rancho Cordova and Folsom with incarcerated parents through the Roots and Horizons Mentoring Program. Through the REACH Youth Development Program we help to increase support and opportunities for youth in our community through a youth oriented strategy that the youth themselves identify.
