PAL (Police Activities League) is a youth crime prevention program that utilizes educational, athletic and recreational activities to create trust and understanding between police officers and youth. The PAL program brings youth under the supervision and positive influence of a law enforcment agency, expands public awareness about the role of police officers, and reinforces the responsible values and attitudes instilled in young people by their parents.
The Rancho Cordova Police Department is teaming up with local volunteers and community members to create a nationally recognized Police Activities League (PAL) in the Rancho Cordova community.
PAL is an activities oriented juvenile crime prevention program that provides at-risk and underprivileged youth with guidance, organized activities and educational programming in a safe and friendly environment.
PAL wants to address increased incidents of juvenile crime and violence in our community, especially during non-school hours, and reduce gang activity and drug/alcohol abuse.
PAL wants to provide positive activities for youth in our community, regardless of location or economic status and build positive relationships with police officers and respect for law enforcement.
