CURRICULUM
Goddard Developmental Guidelines form the basis of unique lesson plans that are brought to life in fun and imaginative ways. Enrichment programs that expose children to the skills necessary to support their active lives and the development of their self-esteem are integrated into each day.
The Goddard School FLEX Learning Program provides the optimal environment for children's development. The program encompasses child-focused lesson plans, a creative and fun environment, and a personalized approach that meets each child's needs.
Parents are always welcome to visit their child during the day, or call the school for updates on their child's progress. When parents pick up their children at the end of the day, they receive a Daily Activity Report. This report is completed by the child's teacher, and includes information such as how long the child napped, what the child ate for lunch, and how well he or she is doing with potty-training. The teacher will also describe all of the fun activities that the child participated in, as well as a note regarding a special moment of the child's day.
The Goddard School believes that the best academic preparation is to encourage the child's enthusiasm for learning. Learning to ask questions, discovering cause and effect, negotiating fair play, and making new friends are all academic building blocks at Goddard.
