Kids Day in the Park is a festival geared to families of small children. While Kids Day is promoted and planned as a fun day of activities for small children and their families, it is also health fair with providers on hand to engage parents and provide information. Target group is children 12 and younger and their parents.

Rancho Cordova iFest is a festival designed to celebrate the ethnic diversity of the community and reach out to newcomer groups by offering an opportunity for them to showcase their cultural heritage. The event is a free, family-friendly evening offered in a park setting. It celebrates the sounds, dance and tastes from around the world… and around the corner. Our motto is "Small World. Big Party."

Logo Rancho Cordova Parade at the California State Fair
Forward, march!
For the past three years, the California State Fair has hosted "City Parades" showcasing the cities of California. Rancho Cordova has been invited to provide a parade for the past three years and expects to return for a fourth year in 2011. It is an opportunity to showcase the spirit of Rancho Cordova to the wider State Fair audience and celebrate the State Fair experience as a community.

The California Capital Air Show is a regional event held in Rancho Cordova, meant to showcase the area’s aviation history, celebrate patriotism, entertain and serve as an economic driver for the entire area. Logo Community Volunteer Awards Night
"UNDER THE BIG TOP"
The Cordova Community Council Volunteer Awards is a public event designed to celebrate and inspire volunteerism in the community and raise the profile of outstanding volunteer efforts. Theme for 2011 is "Under the Big Top", a nod to the "three-ring circus" of citizens, businesses and government who work together, helping Rancho Cordova achieve All-America City status in 2010. "Under the Big Top" is also a fundraiser for the Cordova Community Council, with themed silent auction and "balloon-popping" events planned.
