Two events. One historic day!
The State of the City event is a civic gathering during which the Mayor of Rancho Cordova delivers a "State of the City Address." It is held in conjunction with the Rancho Cordova Chamber of Commerce?s Economic Forecast and Power Breakfast.
COLLABORATORS This two-part event is presented by the Cordova Community Council, which is sponsor of the "State of the City" luncheon and Mayor's Address, and the Rancho Cordova Chamber of Commerce, which presents a breakfast and economic forecast for the city for the year ahead.
ATTENDANCE The morning event is attended by approximately 200 local and regional business leaders and government officials. The luncheon and "State of the City" address is attended by approximately 200 local citizens, community and government leaders from across the region. Approximately one-third to one-half attend both events. The event was a sell-out in both 2008 and 2009.
PUBLICITY The event is widely publicized by both the City of Rancho Cordova, and the two sponsoring organizations. The event enjoys strong support by the local news media and was featured in the local newspaper post-event.
Planning cycle begins in September, with sponsor deadlines for collateral materials, including publicity flyers, advertising by sponsoring organizations, event programs, table signage and more Oct. 15.
