Your One-Stop Rancho Resource
Rancho Cordova now has a website that is more than an on-line directory. It is a guide to residents, employees, travelers and businesses to help them find resources to help them with all their local needs.
How do I get my business listed?
We are offering ALL businesses in the Rancho Cordova corridor (which is roughly from the Folsom Premium Outlets to Sac State) a FREE listing in our directory. We have a list of 5200+ names that has been loaded into the directory. We will be contacting each business to confirm their information and also to let them know that by adding a description, keywords, images, their logo and specials, that the GUIDE will be even more successful in driving business to their door (our goal is make your phone or cash register ring). If you don't want to wait for us to contact you, feel free to CONTACT US! If you are outside and still want to list your business, pricing is very affordable for every business budget.
How much does adding extra information and pictures cost?
We pride ourselves in offering affordable options to businesses of ALL sizes. Our most popular package is a "featured business" which cost less than $30 / month! There are two options for even less to fit every budget AND if you really want to maximize on this on-line presence we are seeking category, feature and website sponsors. CLICK HERE for details.
How much traffic does the website get?
To be frank, not much! Although relatively new, the Internet still engages that ancient question: "Which came first, the chicken or the egg?" We didn't want to send visitors to the website until there was a reasonable amount of good content. And advertisers are asking why should we list. That's why we are loading the 5000+ businesses. It will get better with good pictures, keywords and content but it's a start. There have been several early supporters of the website like the Rancho Cordova Chamber of Commerce and the City of Rancho Cordova that have helped to lay the groundwork to build this site from the ground up.
How will people learn about the website?
Good question! We have a multi-media approach!
-
Print: We recently signed a collaborative agreement with "Go for it" magazine. We will be advertising in their FREE monthly publication which prints 10,000 copies each month at over 200 distribution points.
-
Signage: Local businesses will soon be able to display a poster or rackcards at their storefronts to demonstrate their participation as well as to get the word out.
-
Events: We will have booths at many of the local Rancho Cordova events.
-
Emails: To keep everyone updated on the lastest news and tips. Drawings and incentives to join the newsletter and to pass it on are already in place!
-
Social Media: To start a buzz about things of interest and importance to the community with links to the GUIDE for resources.
Why should I use the GUIDE instead of Google?
This website localizes your searches to information relevant to this area: the businesses, events, community news. We've even created a local social network so conversations and information will be focused on what is happening locally, not globally. What's more, YOU can leave feedback and comments on what is important to you and the community. What's more if each person, just once a month, found something of interest and call the business or organization and said "I found you on the Guide", it won't take long for it to take shape really, REALLY fast. (Thanks in advance!)
Sounds interesting... What next?
This is just the beginning. You will begin to see a stockpile of information, ideas, resources, listings and links! If you have a business, make sure you get your listing updated!! If you are an individual, participate in the social network.
You are just beginning to see that our definition of the WWW is Win-Win-Win. Win for Businesses - Win for the Customers - Win for the Community!
