What’s in your Walnut?

In a Nutshell, add some M.A.G.I.C. to your Marketing Message!

Whether it’s face-to-face or on the Internet, we only get a few seconds of someone’s attention in this fast-paced age of information. SO, we had better make the most of it. It may be our ONLY chance to make ANY impression.

Using the right words to tell a convincing story to your target market that will result in business CAN be done in a few words, in a few seconds. Bottom line: every dollar and second spent pivots around your Return-on-Investment…

Below (in a Nutshell), the M.A.G.I.C. formula of what to put in YOUR nutshell for your BEST ROI. I have been applying the M.A.G.I.C. formula since 1999 and it works in ALL forms of marketing and advertising from 30-second commercials, printed ads, and the Internet.

FYI - eNutshells.net place your marketing message in a one-page "nutshell". CLICK HERE to take a video tour.

MESSAGE:

  • What can you say that distinguishes you from the crowd?
Avoid the “same old” line of my name is…, my business is… and we do…
  • What product or service is your “WOW” factor or your Unique Selling Proposition (USP)?
What you do is not as important as what you can do for them that’s different!

AUDIENCE:

  • Who are you speaking to?
In one-on-one, let them talk first so you know best what to focus on when it is your turn.
  • Who is your target market?
In broadcast marketing (ads and the Internet), do NOT throw too wide a net (saying too much directed at everyone). Be more focused so your target market will recognize that their specific needs can be met by you.

GRAB THEIR ATTENTION:

  • You’ve built a “better mousetrap”. Want to know the secret to get the world to beat a path to your door?
Ask a rhetorical question. It creates a virtual nod of identification that takes you one step closer to closing a sale.
  • Employ extraordinary words that will capture attention and be remembered long after you have “left the building”?
When you use $20 words like phenomenal (vs. great), these will add to your bottom line! Catch phrases work wonders as well! (Well now, so does iliterations, and the list goes on…)

INVOLVE THEIR EMOTIONS:

  • “Dress for success”: wear your heart on your sleeve.
People recognize sincerity, integrity and enthusiasm and this will impact your impression more than any other single factor.
  • Are emotions a factor in decision making?
ABSOLUTELY! People will buy because they like you, desire your product, or see the end result and then will justify that decision with logic.

CALL TO ACTION:

  • What next…?
Give them something specific to do and make it easy for them to do it… Even if you can’t make the sale right now, you can ask for an appointment, an e-mail, a business card…
  • If you knew something you wanted might be gone in a few seconds, would you CLICK HERE?
A sense of urgency will engage the emotions and increase your ROI.

Put the M.A.G.I.C to work in your 30-second commercial, next print ad or your website and see how your conversion ratio kicks up your ROI!

NOTE: The newly launched eNutshells.net takes this principles and posts them into a one page "nutshell". Check out the video below.

About eNutshells.net by XLeration Services
eNutshells was designed because:
  • The most important thing a website does is to get your phone (or your cash register) to ring
  • Time to accomplish this is short. On the Internet, something needs to "click" for someone to click (or call) within 18 seconds
  • The M.A.G.I.C. formula when condensed onto one page become an eNutshell (marketing "in a nutshell")
The benefits of an eNutshell profile include:
  • Headlines, words and pictures to best present your marketing message focused for your target market
  • Testimonials from your clients because comments from others is the best form of marketing.
  • "Oh, by the way" links to your other products and services and featured specials, events or news
  • Reciprocal links to businesses that provide other services to the same target market. Traffic comes around and goes around
  • Critical calls to actions include "bookmark this page", "forward to someone", "contact the business" and newsletter signup
